Joop
'96 |
|
During his
career of 18 years as civil servant at
the Ministry of Education, Joop van der Wagt knew that he had more possibilities
with his creative talents to discover
his true calling.
After a
search in the world of stage, making of
black/white drawings, 7 years as
voluntary fireman and 7 years as free
lance press-photographer, JOOP96 started
painting in 1996 after the death of his
father.
JOOP96
is a self-taught man and his work is
often compared to that of among other,
Keith Haring, Herman Brood, and Corneille, yet with his own style.
In the
meanwhile his work has developed wings
and one project is followed by another,
and he paints with a complete imaginary
relation style.

Tijno |
Tijno, 34 years,
makes paintings which shout for attention. These
are objects on your wall which does not go
unnoticed.
Tijno uses mainly acrylic. His style is actively coloured and contrasting. The forms characterize
themselves as playfully figurative and
vigorously. Especially at detail level he gives
very much attention in the shape of balls,
lines, and wires which crawl as a life vein
through his work.
One can also recognize influences of the Inca
culture.
